What a wonderful evening! The event truly captured the spirit of theatre and in particular, naturally, our very own, Arden.
It really is the jewel in the town’s crown. Hidden away down Leslie Smith Drive, masked by the ever-popular Faversham Pools and camouflaged by the fleet of cars in the car park, our big little theatre shines as a beacon of fun and culture.
You may have been mistaken just recently. Many people were on the streets photographing what they thought to be the Northern Lights. No sir. The brilliance in the sky was our big little theatre shining with pride among the stars. We are blessed.
Faversham is incredibly fortunate to have its own theatre. Thanks to the Arden’s founding fathers, Leslie Smith and Maurice Patterson, to name just two, and so many more since those early days, the theatre holds a unique presence in our town.
Our launch was enthusiastically received by the full auditorium, and people commented afterwards on the warmth of the occasion and the special feeling of love the theatre generates.
Thanks to everyone who managed to make it and thanks to everyone who couldn’t make it too – the evening recognised how wide the Arden Community has spread.
Introduced by John Moss and Hosted by Ben Jones, the evening weaved its way through the Six/Seven plays for 2025.
Flashbacks were featured from STEPPING OUT and DRACULA – the bloody truth.
